Why I Started Written Hugs Designs

Hello. My name is Christi. I Founded Written Hugs Designs In November of 2022. At the time, as I was processing my own grief and mental health struggles, I found myself feeling more isolated and alone surrounded by the only-happy-and-cheerful holiday expectations. Something felt flat, inauthentic, and disconnected from my own reality when walking down any greeting card aisle. Then, one day, something clicked.

  • I could make the cards I wish existed.
  • I could help people feel not feel the way I felt.
  • I could help people feel more seen, more connected, and less alone.
  • I could create cards that felt like receiving a meaningful hug.

Thus, Written Hugs Designs was born. It’s mission of helping people feel more seen, more connected, and less alone is aligned with my own personal purpose, my heart, and my values. Getting to create in this space is the most authentically me I’ve ever felt.
