Embracing Empathy Through Written Hugs
Hi! I’m Christi. I started Written Hugs to help people feel more seen, more connected, and less alone. Combining hand drawn art and heartfelt words to create powerful moments of connection - just like receiving a meaningful hug.

What’s the Written Hugs Difference?
Connection Through the Hard Stuff
Sometimes life is more complicated than big box stores would have us believe. I got tired of reading a million cards that didn’t really say anything - especially sympathy cards - so I started creating my own. That quickly lead to the book, stickers, and prints. I’m wired to lean into connection through the hard stuff. Which is why I create what I do.
Inspired by Real Life
I create based on my lived experience and by special request. Don’t see what you are looking for? Submit a special request for me to design something you wish existed.
Your Kindness Multiplied
For each Written Hugs card you send, I donate another to be used to encourage a stranger facing grief, illness, foster care, and more—multiplying the kindness you already started. Here’s How
Kids notice more than we think
“…This book offers emotional clarity around something many children struggle to understand - when adults are sad, frustrated, or overwhelmed - it’s not the child’s fault…”
